Debbie Goetz Media Connections, LLC, a public relations and media relations firm located in Jamison, PA, celebrated its 2^nd anniversary by pledging $10 for every press release written in the month of May to two Holicong Middle School Relay for Life teams. In June, the firm donated $100 to Relay for Life.

With the help of Debbie Goetz Media Connections, LLC and other area businesses the two teams, Holicong Swagg and Holicong Cancer Warriors each raised nearly $1000 to donate to the American Cancer Society to aid in their efforts to find a cure for cancer.

The Relay for Life which took place at Tohickon Middle School on Saturday, May 19, was an all day event involving 8^th and 9^th graders from all Central Bucks School District middle schools. Students took turns walking around the track to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. In addition, there were events to honor cancer survivors, remember those who died from cancer, plus food, games and activities. Since 1985 Relay for Life has raised over $4.5 billion for cancer research in the U.S. and 20 countries. To learn more, go to: www.relayforlife.org.

“As a way to honor and thank all of the great clients I have worked with during these past two years, I wanted to do something to support students in our community who are trying to give back,” said Debbie Goetz, principal at Debbie Goetz Media Connections, LLC. “I know many people who have been touched by cancer, so making a gift to Relay for Life was a perfect fit for me.”
