Roger was a very nice man who lived around the corner. We would often see him out working on the yard or with the dogs. My husband is a member of Engine 92, which is where Roger belonged, and they always spoke like old friends. Roger used to go to dinner every Saturday night at the Red Lion Diner, and sit at the counter, and we would run into him there, but we don't go much in the summer, so we were completely unaware that he had been ill and that he had passed. He will be remembered and missed.

Actually, as far as we knew, Rodger wasn't ill. He died of a massive stroke. His death shocked those who knew him. Outwardly, he certainly looked to be in good health. It is very sad that he passed so young and before his elderly mother.

Roger was a very good friend of mine. We would spend hours talking on the phone. He was a very kind man who never said anything bad about anyone. I consider myself very lucky to have had him as my friend. I know he worried about the phone call that he would receive saying his mother fell or worse while he was at work. He always put her first and always took good care of her. He was a member of Engine 92 as was my son Edward.GOOD JOB ,RIP Roger
