YWCA Announces Bucks County Teen Volunteer of the Year Awards Program
In conjunction with National Volunteer Week, YWCA Bucks County will hold its 18th annual Bucks County Teen Volunteer of the Year Awards Program at Ann’s Choice in Warminster on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at 6 p.m., sponsored by Ann’s Choice-Erickson Living, Mr. John Brennan, Dr. Nancy Reid, and Bensalem Kiwanis. The event will be held in the Ann’s Choice Keystone Clubhouse.
The Bucks County Teen Volunteer Awards Program recognizes young volunteers for their community outreach efforts to help others and the impact they have on volunteerism among fellow teens. All Bucks County high schools were invited to participate by selecting one 11th or 12th grade student who is an “Outstanding Volunteer.”
Each Teen Volunteer will represent his or her high school and receive a Certificate of Appreciation and a monetary award in recognition of their volunteer service. Additionally, the one student selected by a group of independent judges as the Bucks County Teen Volunteer of the Year will receive a plaque in honor of his/her volunteer accomplishments. The winner will be announced at the Awards Program. The public is invited to attend this celebratory recognition event.
