  • Abington Memorial Hospital's Warminster Campus is community-based free heart and stroke risk assessments and blood pressure screenings today at 10 a.m. until noon. Take steps necessary to monitor your blood pressure and assess your risk for stroke. No registration is required; walk-ins welcome. Nurses provide information about how to prevent heart disease or control blood pressure.
  • Santa arrived at the Oxford Valley Mall on Saturday, Levittown Patch . Santa's arrival was marked with a parade and breakfast for children. 
  • Patchy fog for the morning, then sunny, with a high near 60, according to the National Weather Service.
  • Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno told CNN Sunday the string of sexual child abuse charges against former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky are "shocking." Sandusky, 67, allegedly engaged in fondling, oral and anal sex with young boys over a period of more than 10 years, according to an investigative state grand jury's summary of testimony. He maintains he is innocent.
  • On this day, November 7, 1944, Franklin D. Roosevelt is elected to a record fourth term.
