Former Penn State President to be Charged in Alleged Sandusky Coverup
Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly announced new charges surrounding Penn State's alleged coverup of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.
Former Penn State University Presient Graham Spanier will be charged with perjury, endangering the welfare of children and obstruction of justice, stemming from the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal, according to a press conference broadcasted on 6ABC.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly held the press conference announcing the charges, citing e-mails between Spanier, former Penn State Athletic Director Tim Curley and former Penn State Vice President Gary Schultz discussing reports of Sandusky sexually abusing boys on campus.
According to Kelly, emails between the three had thinly-veiled reference of a 1998 incident on campus involving Sandusky, referring to Sandusky as "the individual," Sandusky's non profit, The Second Mile, as "the organization," and the victims as "Sandusky's guests."
Kelly said that prosecutors have also prepared new charges against Curley and Schultz, who have already been indicted in the Sandusky case, according to Reuters.
"The law applies to everyone, from the ordinary man on the street, as well as to those that occupy a position of power and great influence in our society, men like the three defendants in this case," said Kelly.
Spanier, Curley, Shultz will appear Friday, Nov. 2 for a preliminary hearing in Harrisburg.

Good, all of them including Joe Pa are all as bad as G.S. as far as I am concerned , Joe Pa , well he had a moral obligation to those young boys and he was more worried about a title , winning and trophies... So sad ! I hope all of those boys/men will be able to heal and go on knowing that so many of us out here care and are thinking of them and praying for them !

Elle...while they certainly had a moral and legal obligation and failed miserably, to say they are as bad as Sandusky is assinign. The man was a complete monster. Those men could have and should have done more, but the ultimate responsibility lies squarely with Sandusky. I'm so sick and tired of people in this society trying to pass the blame on to every other person than those that deserve it. Yes...they messed up. Yes they should have done more...but they did not anally rape young boys. Sandusky did. Don't ever take that away from him.

Sandusky underscores the need to get accused pedophiles like Sylvain Kustyan off our streets ASAP. Kustyan has been formally charged with two counts of 1st Degree Sodomy of a ten-year-old little boy. This 6'-7" French native and middle school teacher is currently on the lam. Their enablers are as guilty as the perpetrators themselves and should be punished accordingly.

You are right Caroline, I could not agree with you more. One small item should I mention, what about all the pedophile priests that are out there living in our neighborhoods. Oh I forgot, its OK because its the church and it happened sooooo long ago!! and we are still waithing for the first one to be accused.

Crucify these scum bag predators. All of them. The molesters the ones who cover it up the ones who turn a blind eye. The whole bunch of them . In essence this was also a case of racketeering and criminal conspiracy. When individuals knowingly engaged in criminal activity I.e. turning a blind eye for the sake of a football program. They should all get the same treatment and be castrated. Do you remember how they got rid of Mussolini? Perhaps treatment like that is in order for these pedophiles. These sick bastards are a blight on society . Why should we fund keeping these monsters in prison . String these cowardly predators up in a town square and gut them like the slovenly pigs they are . Sadly tho , our flawed judicial system will allow a loop hole of some sort for these spineless turds to slink through. I'm sickened and saddened by all this perversion and acts of injustice to minors .

"The law applies to everyone, from the ordinary man on the street, as well as to those that occupy a position of power and great influence in our society, men like the three defendants in this case," said Kelly. this statement should apply to everyone who had any knowledge of this case and did nothing which includes our elected officials
