As we move closer to the official start of summer, the thermostats, ironically, are inching toward more manageable, cooler temperatures. For those planning outdoor activities this weekend, the 70 to 75 degree forecast could make for more enjoyable days filled with a cornucopia of festivities.

Here are some options.

SPRING CONCERT

Where/when: 730 Norristown Road, Warminster, Saturday at 8 p.m.

Why go: The Bux-Mont Centennial Singers’ 37th annual spring concert, showcases a vast array of some of the favorite melodies of America.

Cost: Free, donations accepted.

FIREWORKS

Where/when: Hatboro Summer Fun Festival and Carnival, Horsham and York roads, Hatboro, Friday night; Horsham Day, Deep Meadow Park, 1020 Horsham Road, Horsham, Saturday at 9:15 p.m.

Why go: Beautiful light illumination.

Cost: Free

CAR SHOW

Where/when: 263 Marketplace, 700 York Road, Warminster, Saturday at 8 a.m. 

Why go: Check out vintage cars and have the chance to buy, or swap parts.

Cost: Free

BEER TASTE TEST

Where/when: Iron Abbey Gastro Pub, 680 Easton Road, Horsham, Friday at 4 p.m.

Why go: Kick off Philly Beer Week with Weyerbacher Brewery and Yards Brewery. Both breweries present, "Best of Style" blind tasting contest.

Cost: Free

SUMMER CONCERT KICKOFF

Where/when: Calvary Presbyterian Church, 405 Easton Road, Willow Grove, Friday from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Why go: Live music!

Cost: Free
