Nov. 27: School Board Meets Tonight

Here's five things you should know today.

 
  • The Centennial School Board meets tonight at 7 p.m. The agenda includes considering the approval of the district's comprehensive plan for 2013-2016.
  • Warminster's proposed budget for 2013 is now available online for review by the public. The Board of Supervisors will vote for its final adoption on Dec. 20.
  • Some rain and snow in the morning, turning into rain in the afternoon with a high near 37, according to the National Weather Service.
  • Capt. Scott Kelly, a veteran astronaut, will set the record for the longest single space mission for an American, CNN reports. Kelly and Roscosmos cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko will embark on a one-year mission to the International Space Station in 2015.
  • On this day, November 27, 1924, in New York City, the first Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is held.
