This is Ash, our 3-legged Siberian Husky. We adopted him in March 2012 from Alabama, where he was found shot (!) & wandering the woods. Even with all he's been through, he is the sweetest, most gentle dog I've ever known.

Patch Rules

Everyone knows their dog is the best dog.

Now, Patch is giving you the chance to prove it.

We bring to you Patch's Top Dog contest.

Here’s how it works:

Beginning June 19, upload your favorite photo of your dog to this article (it’s super easy – just make sure you are a registered user first). In the caption, tell us your dog’s name and what makes him or her so special. One photo per owner.

You aren't a Patch User yet? No problem, just register by clicking here.

We'll accept entries for the Top Dog from June 19 to July 3.

Between June 19 and July 3, our users will vote in the comments on which dog is Warminster's Top Dog. So make sure you hit that social media campaign trail early! Share your post on Facebook and Twitter to gain more votes! The sooner you post your pup, the earlier you can start netting those votes!

On July 6, we will announce the winner of Warminster Patch Top Dog contest.

The winners of the local contests will then move on to a regional competition. The voting for that level runs from July 9 to 20, and again, will take place in the comments section of that article (which will be posted on July 9).

On July 23, the five regional winners will be unveiled, and they will face off to become Greater Philadelphia's Patch’s Top Dog from July 23 to 27. The winner will be announced July 30.

Look for great prizes at both the regional and Greater Philadelphia levels.

To vote: Look for the number in the top right corner of the photo and refer to that in the comments.

You can read the full contest rules here.

What if we have more than one dog? Can we submit an entry for each one?

If anyone is considering getting a new furry kiddo please consider adoption. There are many rescues in the area that would be more than happy to help. Wags Rescue, LuLu's Rescue, Main Line Animal Rescue, Bucks County SPCA and Montgomery County SPCA to name a few. If you don't see what you're looking for at the Rescue's you can email them and tell them what you're looking for and during one of the trips down south they will see if they can find an animal you want.

Number 22, Handsome, is one special pup. If you read the background story, that says a lot about why he is the top dog. I didn't even bother entering my pup because I'd still vote for number 22 over my own! (Sorry, Noah..)

That's really not nice. I entered all 3 of our dogs for my kids. My children have voted for their 3 dogs. I happen to have a large family and they have their friends voting also:)
Others happen to have voted for each one of their dogs too...and rightly so!
Your comment that there are some real winners here I'd have to agree! Each one of these dogs is a winner just because they have someone who loves them. Each of the dogs owners is a winner because they have the love of some great dogs.
I wish for you too all the happiness these dogs bring to so many lives. Now you have a very nice day:)

Ed, I agree. The voting for this contest is messed up. There needs to be a poll or something so one person doesn't vote 17x for their own pup, and also to make it easier for non-Patch people to vote. Having to register to vote/comment is probably turning a lot of people off.

I vote for number19-Chooch! I'm partial to visually impaired dogs since I also adopted one.

I vote for #8.

We just lost our Norwegain Elkhound this past winter, and they are a fabulous breed that deserves more recognition.
