Shots Fired at Police in Warwick
The suspect is fleeing on foot in the Warwick/Warminster area. He is wanted in connection to the murder of a woman in Buckingham Township and the shooting of a police officer in Doylestown.
A suspect that is wanted in connection to a homicide in Buckingham and the shooting of a police officer in Doylestown has allegedly shot at another police officer in Warwick.
The suspect's car has been located in the parking lot of Giovanni's Pizza on York and Almshouse roads and reports say he is on foot in the Warwick/Warminster area.
At around 12:30 Sunday morning, reports came in of an officer shot in Doylestown, with a second officer who had glass blown into his eyes during the exchange of gunfire. Neither injuries are reported to be life-threatening.
Police officers were chasing a black Dodge pickup with Virginia license plates, wanted for an incident initially reported as being in Hi.
An occupant in the truck reportedly fired shots at police in the 100 block of W. Swamp Road. One of the officers was struck but was able to drive himself to Doylestown Hospital, according to emergency reports.
At around 1 a.m., reports came in of a juvenile dropped off at the emergency room at St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown who told officials "grandmom went to heaven."
Officials investigating the child's story reportedly found a woman dead at a home in the 3400 block of Church School Road in Buckingham.
Emergency reports indicate police believe the woman may be related to the suspect they are seeking from the police shooting incident.
Bucks County's north/central SWAT team reportedly is being called out and will be staging from Doylestown Hospital.
Authorities also suspect the shooter killed a woman in Virginia, possibly his wife. They report he is armed with an assault rifle and handgun.
