Longtime Phillies announcer Andy Musser, 74, passed away Sunday, according to multple media outlets, including philly.com.

The Web site quotes Musser's son as saying, "It wasn't easy being second banana to Harry Kalas, but he was the perfect guy for it. That was a wonderful time for him. I was there and saw him laugh his ass off."

Musser announced Super Bowls, World Series games and The Masters, but Phillies fans will always remember him for making the call on Mike Schmidt's division-winning home run that helped propel the Phillies to the 1980 World Series.
