Video: Patch Takes a Martial Arts Lesson
This week's episode of Patch Does It featured some basic martial arts instruction at East West Karate's Warminster dojo.
For this installment of Patch Does It, we took a trip to East West Karate on York Road to learn some beginner self-defense moves.
Sensei Joe Weber, lead instructor for East West Karate's Warminster dojo, showed the proper way to throw a punch and kick while standing in a power stance that protects the body. After running through some jabs and right crosses, Weber had me attempt some board breaking, including one that was lit on fire. He said the board breaking exercises are a great way to build confidence in the students.
