Doylestown Patch readers picked Coilean Jordan – CJ to her friends – as their Top Dog. CJ is a 1½-year-old golden retreiver who loves the camera. Owner Merri Collins, of Doylestown, said the name Coilean Jordan comes from the original Irish of her husband's family name, and another family name on CJ's pedigree papers. Credit Merri
Newtown Patch readers picked Rufus and DeeDee as their Top Dog. Rufus, on the right in the picture, is a 6-year-old pug. DeeDee, a pug-French bulldog mix, was a Christmas gift to Virginia and Vernon Hartman of Newtown. The dog was a gift from their son, who got DeeDee from a family that could no longer care for her. The winner will compete from July 23 to 27 against four other regional winners to become Eastern Pennsylvania's Top Dog. The winner will be announced July 30.
