Why go: Enjoy a day in the sun at the park, take a walk with your dog. Meet and greet other dog and cat lovers. Meet the animal rescues, browse thru tables of animal related vendors, and meet animal services. Entertainment, live music, shows, demos, refreshments.

Southampton Days Committee Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser
Where/when: Applebee’s, 1063 Street Rd., Southampton, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Why go: Eat a delicious short stack and support the annual Southampton Days fair.
Cost: $8 (children 2 and under are free)
Spring Flea Market & Craft Show
Where/when: Horsham Township Parks & Recreation, 1025 Horsham Rd., Horsham, Saturday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why go: The 6th annual Spring Flea Market and Craft Show will feature plenty of secondhand items for bargain hunters to search through.

Horsham Rotary Memorial River Ride
Where/when: College Settlement Camp, 600 Witmer Rd., Horsham, Sunday, 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Why go: Kick-off the bike riding season with a wonderful ride and help Horsham Rotary raise funds to improve Kohler Park.
Cost: $30
Where/when: Mitchell Performing Arts Center, 800 Tomlinson Rd., Huntingdon Valley, Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m.
Why go: This musical production by the Academy of the New Church Secondary Schools features more than two dozen songs, more than a dozen musicians and the lead actor playing the fiddle.
Cost: $15 ($12 for students and children)
16th Annual Huntingdon Valley/Southampton Rotary Club’s Fish-a-long Event
Where/when: Lorimer Park, 183 Moredon Rd., Huntingdon Valley, Saturday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why go: What better way for young anglers to enjoy the spring weather and beautiful surroundings at Lorimer Park? The stream will be stocked with trout and instructors will be on hand to assist youngsters with their angling skills. Prizes will be awarded.

Where/when: The Zen Den, 20 Donaldson St., Doylestown, Friday, 8 p.m.-10 p.m.
Why go: Take the stage at Doylestown's Zen Den coffeeshop. Sing a song, recite poetry, play music, crack some jokes. The only requirement is that all material be rated "E" for Everyone.

Animal Lifeline Fashion Show and Silent Auction
Where/when: Keenan Motor Group, 4311 W. Swamp Rd., Doylestown, Saturday, 7 p.m.-11 p.m.
Why go: Canines on the Catwalk will benefit Animal Lifeline, a support organization for rescues, shelters and municipal groups who advocate for homeless animals everywhere.
Cost: $55
Where/when: Council Rock High School South, 2002 Rock Way, Southampton, Saturday, 8 a.m.-11 a.m.
Why go: Participate in a 5K, one mile walk or 90-minute Zumbathon to raise money for March of Dimes.
Cost: $25 for 5K, $10 for Zumbathon
Second Annual Community Auction
Where/when: Washington Crossing Inn, Route 532 & River Rd., Washington Crossing, Friday, 7 p.m.-10 p.m.
Why go: Hosted by the Wrightstown Elementary School PTO, the fundraiser will benefit many programs enjoyed by the students. Items up for bid include an autographed Claude Giroux jersey and Phillies tickets.
Cost: $30, $55 per couple
March of Dimes Walk (March for Babies)
Where/when: Bucks County Community College, 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, Sunday 9 a.m.-noon.
Why go: A great event for families and little ones. Post race has entertainment tents for the kids and live music. All proceeds benefit the March of Dimes.
Cost: Suggested donations
Where/when: Neshaminy Mall, 707 Neshaminy Mall, Bensalem, Friday, 5 p.m.-11 p.m.; Saturday, noon-11 p.m.; Sun. noon-10 p.m.
Why go: Lots of rides, games and entertainment to enjoy.
