An Aerialist Will Fly High at Renaissance Faire

Every year something new fills the ground at the Village Renaissance Faire, and this year it explodes—literally a canon fires off three times a day.

The Village Faire believes now, more than ever, that the community deserves the best, and this year it delivers, not only with the traditional jousting, trebuchet slings, combat, human chess, juggling, puppetry, demonstrations, blacksmiths, dance, theatre and music, but new and exciting offerings as well.

One might think a a fire breather, rabbits stampede, new kids castle, and petting zoo would be enough, but not in 2012. The Faire has continued its history of achieving new heights. First it was making pigs fly, then melons and dragons, but this year we're making a human fly...it is a RIOT.

Riot is an aerialist who will perform every hour at the Village Faire this year. She'll dangle from a 26 foot triangle and showcase breath-taking aerial silks, corde lisse (rope), and lyra (aerial ring) performances and intense, hypnotic hoop dance routines. A beautiful rhythm of music, dance and theatre that captures the attention of all ages.

Do not worry, all this theatre, arts and entertainment for all still does not leave the wee ones behind, as the Faire continues to offer exciting and free crafts and children's activities in Kids Kingdom.

Organizer Ken Hone boasts that the Faire remains affordable to all. Since he was raised by a single mom who worked two jobs, he wants to make sure everyone has the opportunities that his mom made available to him.

The Faire is by all mean fair. The price us $5 for adults, parking is free, and children ages 8 and younger are free as well, and best of all the proceeds go to the public library.
