I think Malloy should ban pit bulls and have the people that have them register them. Also thereRead More teeth have to be pulled and they can not have more than 10 in there mouths. Any dog with ten or more teeth will be a felony and you can no longer have dogs with more than 10 teeth starting right now. And any dog bought sold or transferred to any other person needs a federal background check. You will also need a dog permit or a food purchase permit to feed you dogs. Without this no dog food can be purchased in this state. You will also need a safe to put you dog in when you are not with it and always have your dog permit on your person when walking it. You know it is for the childrens safety after all we have to think about the kids. I think this is a good idea don't you dog owners agree??

excuse me, it is YOU who are fixated on sodomy. Don't pick on me, pick on God whose perfection forRead More mankind does not include homosexual acts. HAPPY EASTER! CHRIST IS RISEN!
Issy April 20, 2014 at 03:41 pm
Christie your hypocrisy is that your god's perfection for mankind also includes slavery, rape (childRead More rape), abortion, mass genocide, infanticide and suppression of women ...... So do you condone these acts or just cherry pick the parts of the bible you personally object to?
christie nicolle April 20, 2014 at 04:42 pm
oh ignorant Issy, what you accuse God of saying is a blasphemous LIE - tell me where it's writtenRead More that God wants rape, abortion, mass genocide + suppression of women?

Its called compassion. I can read just one thing in the news about a child being hurt, or even likeRead More you mentioned, a tale like Old yeller- and it just hurts, the sadness of some things. You sound as if you are even more sensitive- but don't ever think that having such compassion is ever a negative- the world needs so much MORE of it.

Again - NOTHING IS BRED TO DO ANYTHING!!!! The "breeder" is responsible for the puppiesRead More actions! I've bred 3 litters of PIT BULLS, in which ALL WENT TO HOMES WITH KIDS AND FAMILIES! None of them were "bred to fight"... Nor do they have a "gene in their brain" making them viscous! You are all a bunch of morons that I can honestly sit here and laugh with my entire family over you! While my "horrible viscous Pitbulls" have their heads on my lap taking a nap :) ahhhh the companionship <3 that's pittie love!

#FAKE Boss Hogg. What are the lies and misinformation? The actual news articles reporting theRead More attacks? The victims are made up? I know the nanny dog tale is a lie. I know "the fighters of the breed was culled" is a lie. One truth is pit bull lovers want everyone to ignore the attacks. I know you and your friends don't want anyone to know about it. That's not a lie. I hear you all want to blame the owners of the attacking culprits every time an event takes place. I find it hysterical the way you turn on your own kind and attack. #Gina. What are shepherd dogs bred to do? What are hunting dogs bred to do? What are thoroughbred horses bred to do? If anyone doesn't have a brain, it's you. Learn the difference between viscous and vicious. And your first two sentences contradict each other. Deny to yourself if you like, but you can't fool the people that don't have their heads up their asses like you do.

JD You're 100% correct about the person walking the street. It's the owner of the dogsRead More responsibility. The mass breeding of the Pit Bull has also contributed to the problem. A big contributor to this Pit Bull mania was Sports Illustrated. In 1987 they put a pit baring its teeth on the cover with the headline "Beware of this dog". This attracted a lot of types of people that wanted them. Gang members sought the breed in droves. Back yard breeders began over breeding because the demand was so high. Many of these dogs were abused, abandoned and became sought after for the ring. To make them meaner they would pump them with steroids, beat them, chain them with heavy chains around their necks all day to make them stronger and force them with hours of exercise daily. It is human scum that have made Pit Bulls the problem. The monsters are humans not these wonderful animals. Joe R why don't you add the most savage of those animals to your list, humans.

Doesn't matter, If the teen lives in the home or one the parents property they are responsible.Read More Their home owners insurance company can be sued as well. Putting the dog down does not negate the incident. It is like destroying the knife used to stab somebody. The stabber is still responsible. I am not a lawyer or anything like that but read enough cases and know enough victims as a Retired firefighter to know you can win on these things easily. Might not be able to get money from some of these people but you can get them banned from being able to own an animal again at the least in my opinion.
Jack Baillargeron April 16, 2014 at 05:05 pm
Would point out also that is the reason for getting leash law or town ordinances. They merely stateRead More the rule and have no age limitation. I have seen children walking a 40lb dog as young as 8 to 10. There is no way they could control that dog unless the dog has been very well trained along with the child being trained so the dog will obey it. Problem with society right now is that no one takes self-responsibility for their own action anymore (well any criminal activity or incidents like this). Idiot owners like to blame the dog also to negate their responsibility. Start throwing them in jail with sentences they would give to a person for doing what the dog does and you would have deterent. But there will always be some excuse. It sickens me to no end.

Boss Hog I see you changed your subtitle from "telling the whole story" to "helpingRead More people make decisions". Was that because I pointed out the FACT that you were NOT sharing the "whole story"? Let me point out something else, your NOT helping anyone with you simpleton approach to a Blog. I get it, you don't like certain dogs. It's your choice and your opinion. Your NON blog is just a collection of stories written by someone else and pictures that have nothing to do with the stories you recycle. It it exactly this biased reporting of a collection of horror stories about people being attacked that creates a fear of these dogs. Not all bully breed dogs are evil and bad. I feel bad for the people injured. It's terrible. But you neglect to tell the OTHERSIDE of the bully breeds. I personally know many pitbull type dogs that do good things but unfortunately we live in a drama addicted society so happy stories don't sell. you are in no way helping anyone. Try actually writing more than five bullet points about a terrible story. It would be nice to see some real discussion. It's unfortunate that many people hate these dogs based solely on the news instead of based on personal experience. I used to be that person until I actually met several pitbull dogs.

Hi Maya- I hopped back on this thread for one purpose- you and others on this thread have madeRead More sincere, intelligent comments. But you are ignoring the cardinal rule of the internet: Don't Feed the Trolls. Boss Hogg is a troll. His biased presentation of one sided material, "culled" (pun intended) from a broad, unrelated array of news sources, is classic trolling. Remember: Trolling is not just for the comments! The whole purpose of a blog can be to troll for outrage, and pageviews, as seems to be the case here.

You people all should get a life. By definition none of you who speak out against pit bulls haveRead More any first hand experience with pit bulls let alone owned, or taken care of one. My pit mix is the best, sweetest dog ever. And he was the eighth of seven prior fosters - some good, others great. I know there are bad dogs out there, and pits like any larger dog are powerful. So when they're bad, they're dangerous - but there's nothing unique to the breed that makes them so. By the way, my cocker spaniel/beagle mix is crazy and dangerous.
