The Craven Hall Historical Society will hold a special Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 9th from 12 noon until 4:00PM.
The Open House will feature open hearth cooking demonstrations as well as story-time and special activities for children. Rumor has it that Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making a special appearance from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.! Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras in order to capture special holiday moments.
Interpreters in period costumes will conduct tours of the historic building, which will be decorated in full holiday splendor. Guests will receive complimentary hot mulled cider from an early colonial recipe. Brunswick stew and other refreshments will be available for purchase. Admission to the Open House is complimentary. However, donations are always graciously accepted.

More About Craven Hall Historical Society
The Craven Hall Historical Society owns and operates Craven Hall, a manor house that was built in the 1840s. The house was built in the Greek Revival style and features a working cooking fireplace.
Tours are given the second Sunday of every month, and various educational programs for youth and adults alike. Some programs are about the history of Warminster, the Revolutionary War battle known as the Battle of Crooked Billet and programs about the inventor of the steamboat, John Fitch.
