Sensory Processing (often called Sensory Integration) refers to the way one’s body receives and then interprets messages from the senses: Touch, movement, vision, auditory, taste, and smell. This process is essential and effects one’s functioning across all environments. It will address the benefits and types of sensory-rich activities for children and it will show how to recognize signs of sensory processing disorder.
