Board Member Thanked for 20 Years of Service, Black Friday at Menchie's

Check out what's happening around Warminster today.

  • Centennial School Board member Betty Huf was recognized by the Pennsylvania School Board Association for serving 20 years in office. Huf recently won re-election to her seat in Centennial's Region 2, gaining another four year term on the school board.
  • SEPTA will decorate the Warminster line train on Friday, with Santa Claus scheduled to hop on board at 9:39 a.m. to take the rail to Market East Station.
  • Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is offering a special deal for Black Friday. Customers can fill a 16-ounce cup for a flat fee of $5, with one dollar from each purchase benefitting the Centennial School District. The shop is located at the Center Point Place shopping center, near the Hair Cuttery.
  • Natural gas hookups are available to Warminster residents, according to a post on the township website. Customers interested in obtaining natural gas service can contact the Warminster New Business office at (215) 956-3270. A PECO customer liaison will obtain information about their planned gas usage and let the customer know how far their home or business is from the nearest available gas main. If a gas main is located in the street where the home or business is located, it will most likely be economically feasible for the customer to obtain gas service from PECO. If the nearest gas main is located some distance away from the customer's home or business, it may not be economically feasible for the customer to obtain natural gas service. Per the terms of the existing natural gas tariff, customers pay the costs for the main extension.
  • The rain will continue throughout the day, with temperatures hanging around in the mid-30s, according to the National Weather Service. Skies are predicted to clear up by Thursday, promising a sunny but chilly Thanksgiving weekend.
