Operation Christmas Child at Nativity, Bucks-Mont Art League Meeting

Check out what's happening today in Warminster.

  • Students at Nativity of Our Lord are participating in Operation Christmas Child. All 500-plus students in the school received a shoebox size box to take home to fill with small gifts and necessities. Every box will be filled with small items such as toiletries, small toys and school supplies for boys and girls around the world of various ages plus a small donation to offset printing costs. On November 21st, Student Council members with parent help will be loading the boxes and delivering them to a central consolidation point at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Hatboro where they will help pack them in large shipping boxes.
  • The Bucks-Mont Art League meets Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the Ben Wilson Senior Center at 6 p.m. The guest speaker is Kelly Sullivan, artist and creator of Finger Smears, large scale commemorative paintings created using dabs of paint from hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people on one canvas.
  • Centennial School District's ad hoc Land and Property Use committee will have its final meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the administration building. The committee will formulate its recommendations on the future of Hart Elementary and the district's administration building and present them to the full school board.
  • Hopefully you took advantage of the warm weather on Monday, because Tuesday it starts getting cold. The National Weather Service says the sky will remain sunny, but with highs near 51.
