Parent Forum at Tennent, Radioactive Waste Detected at Centennial Station

  • Centennial School District will host a parent forum Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the William Tennent high School library. The topic will cover the proper use of instructional time at the secondary levels.

  • Health Connections at the ShopRite of Warminster is recognizing Diabetic Health Day by hosting Bill Nolan, director of the Doylestown Hospital Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine, who will discuss advances in the treatment of diabetic wounds, including oxygen therapy, and nutrition therapist Kristen Morrow, who will answer diet questions and share tips on preparing healthy holiday meals. The seminar runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • A small amount of radioactive waste was detected in the trash bin at Centennial Station in Warminster Tuesday morning, according to The Intelligencer. Sources told the paper that the detection came from a resident's incontinence pad and was caused by her medication. Emergency management officials said there was no threat to public safety.
  • Sunny again today, with highs near 48 degrees, going down to 28 tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
