Rotary Raises Money with Charity Ball, School Board Meeting Tonight

  • Warminster Rotary held their annual Charity Ball on November 9 at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland. The proceeds from the benefit will be supporting two local families with children who have special needs.This year’s event brought together more than 180 supporters for an exciting evening of dinner & dancing with musical entertainment from local musicians Love Junk. Several items were donated by Rotarians for raffle including flat screen televisions, restaurant gift cards, a designer hand bag, as well as a six-foot Nutcracker statue.
  • The Centennial School Board meets Tuesday at the administration building at 7 p.m. The agenda includes accepting the retirement agreement with Assistant Superintendent William Gretton III, effective Nov. 15.
  • The Upper Southampton Library is hosting an information session on the Affordable Care Act Tuesday night at 6 p.m. The talk is part of a free, monthly series of presentations on financial matters and problems organized by Joseph M. Masiuk of Flood & Masiuk, LLC, in Upper Southampton and Ray S. Greenberg, a Certified Financial Planner from Feasterville.
  • Some rain or snow is likely to fall this morning, clearing up in the afternoon. It's going to be a cold one today, with a high near 41, according to the National Weather Service.
