Township Appoints Emergency Management Director, Giuseppe's 40th

- The Warminster Board of Supervisors approved the hiring of Joseph Velten as the township's emergency management coordinator during Monday night's meeting. Velten is also a lieutenant with the Hartsville Fire Company. One of his first duties will be preparing the staff for Thursday's predicted downpour and heavy winds.
- The Centennial School Board meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the district administration building. On the agenda is a presentation by the ad hoc district Property and Land Use Committee that will feature recommendations for the use of buildings owned by the district.
- Giuseppe's Pizza of Warminster is celebrating its 40th anniversary Tuesday by offering 40 percent off all food, dine-in and take out. The restaurant is located at 1380 W. Street Rd. Call (215) 674-5550 for more information.
- We should start seeing some rain today around 2 p.m., building up to some heavy precipitation Tuesday night into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
