What's going on around town today?

  • The Black Chaos added to their lead, the White Pirates 173-131 during the portion of William Tennent’s three-day Black and White Night competition.
  • The Warminster Board of Supervisors are considering adopting a sidewalk snow removal ordinance in order to, as supervisor Leo Quinn put it at last night's meeting, “get some teeth” behind their requests that residents clear their sidewalks and fire hydrants.
  • The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce is seeking golfers for May 9th at Spring Mill Country Club, 80 Jacksonville Road, Ivyland. The outing begins with registration at 10:30 a.m. and a buffet lunch followed by a 4-person scramble with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $135 per person ($500 Foursome)
  • An 8.9 earthquake slammed Japan earlier this morning, unleashing a 23-foot tsunami that set off warnings in South America, Canada and the entire West Coast of the U.S.
  • It’s Daylight Savings Time on Sunday. Be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour by 2 a.m. Sunday morning.
