What's going on around town today.

  • The Warminster Board of Supervisors holds its regular meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the . On the agenda is a presentation of redevelopment plans for Warminster Plaza.
  • Also tonight is the first of two ad hoc meetings called by the Centennial School Board's education committee that will analyze class size issues in the district. All education stakeholders are encouraged to participate at the district administration building at 7 p.m.
  • A slight chance of rain or drizzle before 9 a.m., then a chance of showers, mainly after 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 59, according to the National Weather Service.
  • Investors ran for the hills Wednesday, shaken to the core by fears that Italy, Europe's fourth-largest economy, was headed deeper into crisis mode, CNN reports. U.S. stocks sold off sharply right from the open after Italy's 10-year bond yield spiked above 7% -- its highest since the euro was launched in 1999.
  • On this day, November 10, 1969, Sesame Street makes its television debut.
