Get Out and Enjoy the Music

Patch wants you to stop and hear the music. We have found all types of music from oldies, to Neil Diamond, to contemporary

It’s Thursday, and we’ve got great ideas for this weekend. The weather is breaking and it’s time to shake off the cabin fever. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time.

How about making this weekend about music and fun? We have found all types of music from oldies, to Neil Diamond, to contemporary. You will need a ticket to hear some and others are free.  Patch wants you to stop and hear the music.  

 Oldies Night with The Flamin' Caucasians

Where/When:  St. Catherine of Siena, 321 Witmer Rd., Horsham. Sat. 7 p.m.

Why Go:  Enjoy a night of rockin' fun, while helping a good cause, featuring the house band from John DeBella’s Morning Zoo, The Flamin’ Caucasians. The night will include Dinner, Dessert, DJ, Live Band, Beer, Wine, Soda, Raffles, 50/50.

Real Diamond – The Premier Neil Diamond Tribute Band

Where/When: Buck Hotel, 1200 Buck Rd., Feasterville. Friday 8 p.m. (doors open 7 p.m.)

Why Go: Real Diamond is a professional band dedicated to the faithful re-creation of the live Neil Diamond experience. We are obsessively passionate about providing you and your audience the finest Neil Diamond show short of having the man there himself.

Pricing: $30

All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast

Where/When: W.K. Bray Masonic Hall, 1 South Penn St., Hatboro. Sat. 8-11 a.m.

Why Go: Come out and celebrate National Pancake Day (a few days late … but oh well). Enjoy great pancakes, scrambles eggs, sausage, juice, coffee and tea. All you can eat!

Pricing: $5 per person, under 8 free – what a great price!

First Friday(s)

Where/When: Downtown Hatboro, or Downtown Doylestown – Fri. 6-9 p.m. 

Why Go to Hatboro:  Singer and guitar player, John Heffren, will perform classics from the 60s, 70s and 80s at McMackin’s Tire Service. Impact Thrift Store will host “One Man Band" John Alberto. Fran Carango will be on keyboard at Joe’s Pizza. You can catch a movie at the Union Library “Know Your Hometown History” or stop at the YMCA for free guest passes to try out a class.   

Why Go to Doylestown: Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with a “cat” in a hat at the Doylestown Bookshop, 16 S. Main St. Join the Y, Doylestown Bookshop and CB Cares for games, magic and special surprise appearances! Shop all day and a portion of your purchases will be donated back to the Y for their financial assistance program.

Pricing: Free fun for all.

Winter Wine Concert Series

Where/When: Shadybrook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Rd., Yardley. Sun. 1-4 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy the musical stylings Mark Register and the Change while tasting wines from nearby Rose Bank Winery. Wine is sold by the glass or bottle.

No outside food or beverages are permitted

Pricing:  Free admission – come on enjoy your Sunday afternoon.
