Giant Sea Turtle Crashes Pa. Couple's Wedding

A gigantic leatherback sea turtle washed up on shore shortly after Lansdale residents Jason and Kate Crowe said their vows at St. Croix's Carambola resort.

A Montgomery County couple had a surprise guest wash up at their Caribbean wedding earlier this month.

A gigantic leatherback sea turtle washed up on shore shortly after Lansdale residents Jason and Kate Crowe said their vows at St. Croix’s Carambola resort.

“Immediately after the ceremony during the cocktail hour everyone is mingling and sipping on their beverage of choice when I overhear one of my friends say with a good big of excitement in his voice ‘look at that turtle!’," Crowe posted on Reddit.

“I break conversation and turn around to see this monster coming out of the surf.”

“We watched it for a while. It came ashore, circled around digging a hole, laid its eggs on the beach, covered them back up and rolled back out into the ocean. Now that’s a memorable event at your wedding.”

Crowe, on Reddit, said "all of the locals from the resort were going on and on about what a good omen it was and how our wedding was blessed."
