Powerball Jackpot Reaches $400 Million: Buy Tickets in Warminster

Grab a Powerball ticket while you're out running errands today and get in on a chance to win a $400 million cash payout.

Lottery fever heats up again as the Powerball jackpot hit $400 million after Saturday's drawing, the game's third highest total. The next drawing is Wednesday, Aug. 7.

There may have been no ultimate jackpot winners on Saturday, but somebody in Bucks County did walk away with a little extra cash. The 7-Eleven on Lincoln Highway in Langhorne sold a ticket that matched all five white numbers, earning a million dollar payout.

More than 124,900 other Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes of up to $40,000 in the Aug. 3 drawing, so all players are reminded to always check their tickets.

How to play Powerball: Players pay $2 and select five white balls from the first set of 59 numbers plus a single red ball, the Powerball, from a second set of 35 numbers. Players may select their own numbers using a Powerball playslip, or they may opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn plus the Powerball number to win the jackpot. There also are eight additional ways for players to win a cash prize.
