Road Work on Gibson Ave. Begins Next Week

PECO starts a three week project on Monday to replace a gas main on Gibson Avenue.

Homeowners along Gibson Avenue have been informed by PECO that major road work will occur starting on Monday, March 5 and continuing for approximately three weeks.

PECO has contracted Danella Construction Corp. to replace an old gas main on Gibson between County Line Rd. and Primrose Ave. Driveways will remain accessible, but street parking will be restricted.

Project Manager Joe O'Donnell pledges to have the site cleaned up each day and left in a safe condition. The road will be swept clean of heavy dirt, open holes will be covered and equipment will be secured and kept out of the way.

Work may be performed in the right-of-way utility in front of homes either on the street, sidewalk or yards. Any work performed on private property will be cleaned up at the end of the day, writes O'Donnell, and work material removed.

If grass, sidewalk or blacktop has been removed, they area will be restored initially using temporary materials, then permanently prepared at the end of the project.
