Township Looks to Trim High Grass Problem
Neighbors living near blatant lawn eyesores can file complaints with the Warminster License & Inspection office.
Driving through the Warminster neighborhoods, one cannot help but notice some of the homes and properties with grass reaching jungle-like heights.
During the May 16 board meeting, supervisor vice president Tom Panzer asked township manager Richard Manfredi to take a stronger approach to addressing the problem.
"It would be nice if we could get on this sooner rather than later," said Panzer.

All premises and exterior property shall be maintained free from weeds or plant growth in excess of 8 inches. All noxious weeds shall be prohibited. Weeds shall be defined as all grasses, annual plants and vegetation, other than trees or shrubs provided; however, this term shall not include cultivated flowers and gardens.
After sending a note of violation to the property owner, whether it is a resident or a bank that has taken possession through foreclosure proceedings, the township will cut the grass and send a bill to the listed owner. Failure to pay the fee will result in a lien placed on the property.
