Township Removing 30-Year-Old Barrier in Street Road Industrial Park

A dedication ceremony on Constance Drive will be held Thursday at 8 a.m.

After 30 years of negotiating, planning and repairing, the giant wall of dirt, gravel and stone that blocked vehicles from driving through Constance Drive off Mearns Road will be removed by Warminster's Department of Public Works.

To celebrate the end of a long, drawn-out and arduous journey, the Warminster Board of Supervisors will hold a dedication ceremony Thursday at 8 a.m. The public is invited to attend the morning festivities. Make sure to check back on Warminster Patch for full coverage.

No way has that mound of dirt been there for 30 years. I'll say about 10 years.

It's been there for about 5 years. I know this because we moved here 6 1/2 years ago. I used to drive down that road on my way home each night.

No wonder it takes forever to get roads fixed in the township. So it took 5, 10 or more years to remove a pile of dirt. How long will it take to pave roads that need repairs? Evergreen is a total cluster fruck.
