Utility Company Permitted to Canvass Warminster Neighborhoods

The Warminster Police Department has advised residents that solicitors from Commerce Energy have the proper permits to knock on doors in Warminster.

Warminster Police Chief Michael Murphy is letting Warminster residents know that when representatives from Commerce Energy start walking around the township neighborhoods, they are permitted to be there.

According to Warminster ordinances, any company that wishes to solicit door-to-door, they must first register with the township and obtain the proper paperwork.

Commerce Energy followed the proper procedures and have the greenlight to canvass the neighborhoods to offer residents an alternative to PECO. They should be wearing uniforms and badges clearly identifying them as representatives from Commerce.
