17TH ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF BANDS

This coming Saturday, October 22nd, the William Tennent Marching Band presents our 17th Annual Celebration of Bands. The show will begin at 7:00 Saturday evening in Alumni Stadium at William Tennent High School. Gates open at 6:00 and tickets are available.  $8.00 adult & $5.00 student. This year there are 7 marching bands visiting from the area.  All will perform and be rated by a panel of judges. They receive a rating of Very Good, Excellent or Superior.  The bands are performing against the judges standards and not against each other for the rating. Special caption awards are also presented including Best Drum Major, Best Band Front and other similar categories. Bands scheduled to perform are:  Council Rock North, Council Rock South, Neshaminy, Pennridge, Pottstown, Harry S. Truman and Cherry Hill East.  Of course our own Marching Panther Band will perform in exhibition.   The evening concludes with all bands taking the field to play the National Anthem together under the direction of Mr. Joseph Lovecchio, band director at William Tennent.  They will be presented with their awards and then a full retreat with each band marching off the field. We will offer a variety of hot and cold snacks and drinks at our concession stand throughout the show.
