Goes Latin

The exciting sounds and fiery rhythms of Latin America and Spain not only fuel today's popular dance music but are used to great effect in some of the greatest orchestral music of the last century.

The program will include well known favorites such as the “Suite from Carmen” by Bizet, and Lecouna’s “Andalucia Suite”, as well as more recent favorites such as “Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5” by Villa Lobos and a work that is currently taking the classical world by storm, “Danzon No. 2” by Arturo Marquez
