Car Crashes Into Kohl's in Warminster

An 80-year-old driver is bumped and bruised but otherwise uninjured after she accidentally drove into the wall of the Kohl's Department Store in Warminster Tuesday night.

According to Warminster Fire Chief Mitch Shapiro, the driver was looking for a parking space when another car began to back out of a spot. The woman meant to hit the brake, but mistakenly stepped on the accelerator, instead.

The driver sideswiped the other vehicle before slamming into the wall, causing some structural damage. Her 17-year-old grandson, who was in the passenger seat, hurt his hand but was otherwise okay.

Kohl's remained open during normal scheduled hours after the accident. Representatives declined comment on the incident.
