Citizens Bank Locations in Warminster to Remain Open

The bank is closing several branches and laying off about 250 employees.

More than a dozen branches will be shuttered nationwide and approximately 250 employees are being laid-off by Citizens Bank.

In Warminster, the bank operates two locations, the Giant Food Store, and in the Davisville Shopping Center - both will remain open, spokeswoman Sylvia Bronner said Friday afternoon.

Bronner, who could not release a list of what Philadelphia-area locations will be closed, reported all other Citizens Bank branches in Bucks County will remain open.

She said the reason for the layoffs, which are becoming more common among big banks, are due to the changing way in which customers bank.

The bank currently operates about 1,518 branches and employees nearly 21,000, according to the Citizens Bank website.
