Regional 'Best Of' Winners Announced

This week's Patch "Best Of" Poll focused on the best banks around.

Newtown received a record-breaking amount of votes this week as readers chimed in on their favorite local banks. Commenter Sandy said: "Been with First National of Newtown about 15 years and wouldn't go anyplace else."

First National Bank & Trust Co. of Newtown also The bank took 38 percent of the votes for the win.

Bensalem Patch broke a tie between two banks with the same number of votes by going to the comments. TD Bank and Beneficial Bank both had 24 percent of the votes, but : “I like TD bank for its hours, they are even open on Sundays.”

In Upper Southampton, "Other" was actually the winner, but since there was no majority in the comments, . The same went for of the votes, followed by Fox Chase Bank, which scored 21 percent of the votes.

Warminster's best bank wasn't even an option on the poll. The "other" choice took the most votes, and the most popular write-in candidate in the comments was the .

with a landslide in Lower Southampton. The bank won with 55 percent of the votes. The runner up (Wells Fargo) had 11 percent of the vote.

Hatboro-Horsham Patch asked readers where they like to work out, and the (4,772) of the 8,305 total votes, beating out the Horsham Athletic Club.
