Steak & Hoagie Factory Welcomes Back Andy Reid

The restaurant is offering a special deal for Thursday's Eagles game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Eagles fans may be fighting some conflicting feelings about Thursday night's return of former head coach Andy Reid as he brings the Kansas City Chiefs to Lincoln Financial Field.

There may be some nostalgia, mixed with a desire to show Reid the Eagles were right to fire him, with sprinkles of gratitude for the big man's tenure that brought the team to five NFC championship games and one Super Bowl.

The Steak & Hoagie Factory wants to make sure one of those feelings is not hunger by offering a special deal for the reunion. Customers on Thursday can order a ham & cheese hoagie and can of soda for $4. The deal is limited to three per customer.

The menu selection is a callback to a memorable quote Reid gave during a press conference following the team's second Miracle at the Meadowlands, when the Eagles came back in the fourth quarter to defeat the Giants 38-31.

“It was a heck of a game to watch if you made it to the fourth quarter,” Reid said. “But I’m sure there were a lot of them that said, ‘You know what? They’re stinking the place up and let’s go have a ham sandwich or something.’ The ones that watched it all the way through, or watched the replays, that was a heck of a game.”

Steak & Hoagie Factory is open 24 hours a day at 189 York Road, Warminster. For more information, call (215) 957-1956.
