Work Begins on New Wawa on Street Road
After years of anticipation, crews have begun preparing for the construction of a new Wawa store on Street Road, between CVS Pharmacy and CollisionMax.
One of the most popular questions asked by readers since the launch of Warminster Patch in 2010 has been, "When are they going to build that new Wawa?"
From the looks of things, the answer is "very soon." A temporary fence has been installed and construction vehicles are hard at work on preparing the site between the CVS Pharmacy and CollisionMax on Street Road for the coming of the popular convenience store/sandwich shop/gas station. A separate Beneficial Savings Bank building is also planned for the same parcel.
The project had been delayed for years over site plans, traffic light issues, driveway access, reducing the nuisance for the nearby residential neighborhood, and, near the end, just getting the final paperwork filed.
