7th Annual CARES Conference on April 26

The CARES (Committed to Awareness through Research, Education and Support) Conference is produced by the Glaucoma Service Foundation to Prevent Blindness, located at Wills Eye Hospital. The daylong event, sponsored by The Robison D. Harley Fund for Glaucoma Education and Research, is open to the public and focusing on all things glaucoma.

The conference typically features free glaucoma screenings, eye pressure checks, talks by leading experts on eye disease, updates on treatment options and information on symptoms, risk factors and support services. Representatives from Low Vision Services, Associated Services for the Blind, Philadelphia Corporation for the Aging and the Glaucoma Research Center are among those scheduled to attend.

The primary purpose of The CARES Conference is to inform and educate those who have glaucoma, their families and caregivers, and those who are at high risk of getting it.

Since 2007, patients and their families have attended this free conference from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York and from across the county.
