April 20: Tennent Locked Down for SADD Tonight

What's going on around town today.

  • student run organization Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) holds its annual lock in tonight at the high school, 5-11 p.m. Participants will enjoy inflatabel rides, refreshments and live music and entertainment.
  • The Panthers' softball team will host a 7 p.m. game against Abington High School. The baseball team travels to Abington for a 3 p.m. game.
  • Some fog in the morning, then cloudy for the day with a high of 73, according to the National Weather Service.
  • President Barack Obama begins the race with a six-point lead over presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. But the poll also shows that the president’s biggest weakness – the economy – is also Romney’s strength.
  • On this day, April 20, 1861, Robert E. Lee resigns his commission in the United States Army in order to command the forces of the state of Virginia.
