  • A new art studio, the Uncorked Artist, is hosting a tonight at 7 p.m. For $35, artist Barbara Sanderson-Cruz will show how to paint a picture of a cherry blossom tree. Bring your favorite beverage and snack, everything else is supplied, including canvas, brush and paint.
  • William Tennent's softball team is at it again with its second game in two days, hosting a matchup against Cheltenham at 3:30 p.m.
  • Sunny today, with a high near 58, according to the National Weather Service.
  • The U.S. Senate voted to renew a law designed to combat domestic abuse Thursday after Republicans stepped back from what was becoming a politically risky fight over some of the expansions they oppose, CNN reports.
  • On this day, April 27, 1981, Xerox PARC introduces the computer mouse.
