Downed Wires Force Suspension of Warminster Rail Line

SEPTA shut down the rail service at 5 a.m.

Last night's rough weather caused PECO wires to come down on top of the SEPTA wires on the Warminster line, just north of the Willow Grove station, disrupting the rail service and forcing SEPTA to temporarily shut down service on the line.

PECO has been working on the problem all morning, said SEPTA press officer Sylvana Hoyos, but there is no estimate for when the wires will be repaired.

"It is a PECO issue," said Hoyos. "We are waiting for them to fix the problem."
