Five Things for April 26

What's going on around town today.

  • Warminster Library hosts a weekly every Tuesday for ages 2-4. The cost is $30 per five-week session, with the next session starting on May 3. A special fun and educational program is designed for toddlers to interact with their caregivers.
  • The Warminster Parks and Recreation Department will have a one-night on the rules of the Bark Park on May 17 at 2:30 p.m. Owners will learn pet etiquette safety and socialization tips.
  • The March of Dimes Bucks County Volunteer Committee is its annual March for Babies on Sunday, May 1.  The walk will start at the back parking lot of Bucks County Community College and go 4.5 miles through Tyler State Park. Registration for the event begins at 8 a.m.; the walk starts at 9 a.m.
  • A  federal judge ruled in favor of NFL players and ordered the league to lift the lockout while labor negotiations continue, CNN reports.
  • On this day, April 26, 1986, Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant is the site of the world’s worst nuclear disaster.
