What's going on around town today.

  • The Warminster police department is participating in the Take Back Initiative on Saturday. Residents with expired prescription drugs can take them to the police department headquarters, Giant Supermarket or Ann's Choice Village Clubhouse from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for proper disposal.
  • The 20th annual Nativity Walk-a-Thon has been postponed from yesterday to 10 a.m. today. Students will travel a one-mile route around the school grounds and the adjacent Archbishop Wood High School. Money raised from the event will benefit new classroom technology investments.
  • The AMC Neshaminy movie theater will host two special screenings of Top Gun Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and Monday at 7 p.m.
  • Bucks County Community College is its second annual Go Girls Leadership Summit Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The event will emphasize leadership and empowerment for girls ages 8 to 18 who have ADHD.
  • On this day, April 29, 1992, riots in Los Angeles begin following the acquittal of police officers charged with using excessive force against Rodney King.
