What's going on around town today.

  • The trial of Domingo Lopez Negron begins today at the Doylestown Courthouse. He is charged with the murder of Joseph Kwiatkowski, who died in January 2009 from bullet wounds inflicted during a fight in 1973 in Warminster Heights. Negron was convicted of firing the weapon in December 1973.
  • Centennial School District: CSD is need of substitute teachers. Click here for all information on how to apply.
  • Mostly cloudy today, with a high of 86 and a chance of showers and a thunderstorm, according to the National Weather Service.
  • The Indiana State Fair is scheduled to reopen Monday with a public memorial service for five people killed when a concert stage collapsed during a storm, officials told CNN. The fairgrounds were closed Saturday night following the accident, which occurred shortly before the country music duo Sugarland was to take the stage before an audience of about 12,000.
  • On this day, August 15, 1969, the Woodstock Music Festival begins.
