What's going on around town today.

  • will perform a live Nativity scene enacted by eighth grade students on the school grounds tonight from 5-6 p.m.  The display will include live animals and choral singing performed by the school children’s choir. Following the live Nativity event, the entire student body will perform a Christmas Pageant at the Auditorium at 7 p.m. and will include Christmas songs and a performance by the school wind and string ensembles.
  • William Tennent's girls basketball team travels to Norristown High School tonight for a 7 p.m. game.
  • The rain should be out of here today. Expect sunshine and temperatures in the mid 50s for the first official day of winter.
  • Wal-Mart tells CNN it has recalled a quantity of infant formula this week after a baby died in Missouri. Wal-Mart said it is pulled a batch of Enfamil from its stores nationwide that matched the size and lot number of the formula that may have sickened the baby in Missouri. That lot number is ZP1K7G. The baby formula was purchased from a Wal-Mart in Lebanon, Missouri. After the purchase, a 10-day-old infant died from a rare bacterial infection, CNN affiliate KYTV reported.
  •  On this day, December 22, 1864, Savannah, Georgia, falls to General William Tecumseh Sherman, concluding his "March to the Sea."
