What's going on around town today.

  • The Warminster Parks and Recreation Department is organizing a trip to the QVC studios in West Chester on March 9, 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m., offering a chance to tour behind the scenes of the shoppoing network. The fee is $63 for Warminster residents, with a deposit due by Feb. 10.
  • Archbishop Wood's boys varsity swim team travels to Father Judge for a 7:30 p.m. meet, while the girls varsity swim team heads to Little Flower for a 7:30 matchup.
  • Showers later this afternoon with a high of 46, according to the National Weather Service.
  • Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won a convincing victory in the New Hampshire primary, the second straight triumph for Romney and one that bolsters his front-runner status to take on President Barack Obama in November, CNN reports. All six Republican contenders head to South Carolina on Wednesday ahead of the next primary.
  • On this day, January 11, 1935, Amelia Earhart is the first person to fly solo from Hawaii to California.
