What's going on around town today.

  • The Warminster Board of Supervisors meets tonight at 7 p.m. at the township administration building for its reorganization. Supervisor-elect Mark McKee will be sworn into office and a new chairman will be selected, most likely Leo Quinn or Tom Panzer.
  • The Bucks County Commissioners will also meet today to reorganize. The meeting will be held at 11:45 a.m. in the Bucks County Courthouse Community Room.
  • A slight chance of snow showers today with a high of only 30, according to the National Weather Service.
  • After six months of campaigning, 13 Republican presidential debates, and millions of dollars spent to flood the airwaves with ads, voters finally get a say in the race for the GOP presidential nomination, CNN reports. Tonight, Iowa Republicans will gather at 809 caucus sites across the state, casting ballots for their party's presidential nominee.
  • On this day, January 3, 1962, Pope John XXIII excommunicates Fidel Castro.
