  • The Warminster Board of Supervisors meet tonight at the township building at 7 p.m. On the agenda is consideration of Costco's request to extend construction hours past the 7 p.m. requirement and make the build site a 24-hour operation.
  • Father and son partners George and Paul Hazakis recently signed a lease with an option to buy the building on York Road in Hatboro that previously housed fast food restaurant Wendy's, Hatboro-HorshamPatch. By September, it could be reopened as a family-owned diner.
  • Today is going to be sunny skies and a high near 84, according to the National Weather Service.
  • China, the biggest American foreign creditor with more than $1 trillion in Treasury debt as of March, called on the U.S. government Thursday to adopt "responsible policies" to protect investor interests, MSNBC reports.
  • On this day, July 14, 1960, Jane Goodall begins her famous chimpanzee study at the Gombe Stream Reserve in Tanzania.
