  • The Warminster Planning Commission meeting scheduled for tonight has been canceled. The next meeting is Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.

  • Partly sunny and hot today, with a good chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
  • The Boy Scouts of America announced Tuesday it has affirmed its policy of "not granting membership to open or avowed homosexuals," CNN reports. The organization's leaders reached that decision after a nearly two-year evaluation and will take no further action on a resolution that has sought a change in policy, it said in a news release.
  • On this day, July 18, 1955, the first Disneyland theme park, in Anaheim, California, officially opens to the public.
